Various solutions
To supplement equipment powered with alternating current (AC), Elinex Power Solutions delivers direct current solutions. The telecom market refers to 48 Volt systems; the term used in the ICT world is DC-UPS. Both products are identical, only the application is different.
Telecom
VDC-fed equipment is typically found in telecom environments where operational reliability is paramount. The operation of telecom equipment may on no account be interrupted by electrical disturbances. Elinex Power Solutions delivers the INTERGY products of Eaton Powerware. The rectifiers or 48 Volt power supply units have a modular design and are all connected to the "48 Volt DC bus" to obtain a very high degree of redundancy. The rectifiers are deliverable in different power supply units and installations are easily expandable to cope with any capacity increases. The INTERGY products are equipped with extensive signalling capabilities. In addition, the systems can be adapted to the customer's precise wishes in terms of number of rectifiers, distribution unit and batteries.
ICT
With the arrival of High Density Computing, also called blade servers, Powerware DC UPS products have started to prove their worth in computer rooms. Availability, redundancy, back-up time, direct connection of the blade server to 48 Volt DC and the related cost savings are aspects that make the placement of a DC-UPS an attractive option with this application. The Powerware DC UPS products are placed in a 19" rack, complete with batteries and outgoing distribution to the servers, and are fully adapted to the High Density Computing environment.
Made to measure
DC solutions must be made to measure. Configuration, installation, batteries, software management and service all require specialized knowledge from the supplier. Powerware already has more than 40 years of worldwide DC experience, while Elinex Power Solutions contributes 10 years of "48 Volt DC experience". Together we make up an excellent combination for the implementation of 48 Volt DC systems.
