Government

ELINEX is at home in the government sector. We serve the entire spectrum of the government sector: municipalities, provincial authorities, ministries, public order services and the penitentiary system as well as semi-government (e.g. schools and university institutions). The government's needs are highly diverse. Among other things, ELINEX is currently working on central solutions for building management systems, fire and gas detection and emergency lighting. Besides this, we are also working on central and decentralized solutions for servers and telecommunications. ELINEX ensures the failure-free operation of business-critical parts such as the server room, TV masts and telephone exchanges.

The government is confronted with changing regulations. ELINEX stays in touch with the latest developments. The Calamity Act, for instance, dates partly from 1985 but was adapted in 2003. This Act stipulates that certain facilities must be available in the event of a calamity. One example is the Register of births, deaths and marriages. Another requirement stipulates the availability of an emergency control room from where the municipal authorities can provide information. The power supply to such a control room must obviously be totally reliable. Everything must work continuously and perfectly. ELINEX knows these situations and knows what is necessary.

C2000 is the extensive national communication network for all emergency services: police, fire brigade and ambulance. This network was completed and became operational last year. On the strength of its specific expertise Elinex was asked to take care of the maintenance. Apart from winning the service and maintenance contract, ELINEX also plays an advisory role in the management of this complex installation.

Crucial in this case is the fact that ELINEX guarantees an uninterrupted failure-free power supply at more than 450 locations in the Netherlands.
